Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority's educational goal is to exceed the standard of care expected by the community.
To meet this goal, KCEAA offers continuous medical education available to all employees, Registered Nurses, Paramedics, EMT's and other healthcare professionals across the state of West Virginia. KCEAA Education Department works directly with Marshall Community and Technical College, Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, the U.S. Department of Labor, American Heart Association, and the State Office of Emergency Medical Services to provide a multitude of classes which include but are not limited to CPR, ACLS, ITLS, PEPP, NRP, Paramedic Courses, CCT, and AED training.
KCEAA has a newly constructed auditorium for education and training. It is located at the main facility at 601 Brooks Street in Charleston, WV. This educational auditorium offers classroom seating for 85 students with break-out rooms for scenario based training and has added a Sim man and Sim baby lab to provide state-of-the-art training.
