When the call for help comes into 911, it sets in motion an entire chain of events.
KCEAA responds to all 911 emergency medical calls. We have 40 licensed ambulances operating out of 14 stations throughout the Kanawha Valley. We answer approximately 74,000 requests and transported approximately 62,000 patients. Our response time is 8 minutes 90% of the time.
KCEAA also provides non-emergency transports within the region.
KCEAA employs 225 full-time EMT’s, Paramedics, Nurses and support staff providing Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Service twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
