Stroke Awareness

Since 2007, Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority has been involved in a public campaign to promote STROKE AWARENESS.

KNOW THE SIGNS - SUDDEN:

  1. Numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg; especially on one side of the body.
  2. Confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
  3. Problem seeing in one or both eyes. Severe headache with no known cause
  4. Trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination

CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY

Delaying transport to the hospital drastically reduces your chance of reversing the effects of a stroke.

TIME MATTERS
It can make the difference between life and death OR how you live your life.
